I’ll be sharing a brief characteristic of the Prophet ﷺ every day throughout Rabi Ul Awwal, 🧵
His ﷺ Perfect Kindness:

Sayyiduna Anas narrates:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the kindest of people. By Allah, he would never refuse any servant, male or female, who came to him bearing water on a cold morning, and he ﷺ would wash his face and forearms with the water.
No one ever asked him a question except that he listened to him; and he would not leave until the questioner left him. No one ever reached for his hand except that he gave it to them; and he would not remove his hand until the other man was the one to let go.”
His ﷺ Kind Companionship:

Sayyida Aisha narrates that the Prophet ﷺ said: “The best of you are the best of you to their families; and I am the best of you to my family. No one honours a woman except an honourable man and no one disrespects them except a villain”.
Sayyida Aisha was asked how the Prophet ﷺ was when he was alone with his family. She replied: “He was the gentlest of people, smiling and laughing. He was never seen stretching out his legs in front of his companions.”
In his farewell sermon on the final Hajj, the Prophet ﷺ said: “Be sure to take good care of women”.
His ﷺ Kind Compassion with All People:

Sayyiduna Anas narrates: ‘I served the Prophet ﷺ for ten years; and not once did he say to me “Uff”, nor did he ever say about anything I did: “Why did you do this?” nor about anything I did not do: “Why did you not do it?”’
In another narration, Sayyiduna Anas adds: “Not once did he ﷺ revile me, nor did he beat me, nor did he scold me, nor did he frown at me, nor did he ever reprimand me for being negligent with something that he had instructed me to do.
If anyone from his family reprimanded me, he would say: “Leave him. If something is predestined, it will be.”’
HIS LOFTY MANNERS WITH THOSE WHO SPOKE TO HIM ﷺ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would listen intently to those with whom he spoke, or those who asked him a question; and he would approach them with kindness.
Sayyiduna Anas said: “I never saw the Prophet ﷺ speak to a man in confidence, and be the first one to turn his head away until it would be the other man who would turn his head away;
and I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ take hold of a man’s hand and then let it go, until the man would be the one who let go of his hand.”
HIS ENQUIRIES INTO HIS COMPANION’S HEALTH ﷺ

Sayyiduna Anas states that the Prophet ﷺ would meet a person by asking them: ‘How are you?’ The person would respond: ‘I am well, praise be to Allah!’ The Prophet ﷺ would respond: ‘May Allah make you well!’
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas states that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ, who said to him: ‘How are you?’ He replied: ‘I am well, from a people who have neither visited any ill person, nor witnessed any funeral!’
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar says that the Prophet ﷺ said to a man: ‘How are you, O (so-and-so)?’ He replied: ‘I proclaim Allah’s praises to you, O Messenger of Allah!’ The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘That is what I wanted from you.’
He ﷺ would miss his companions,

Sayyiduna Anas said:
“If the Prophet ﷺ missed a man from amongst his brethren for three days, he would ask after him.
- If he was away, he would pray for him
- if he was in town, he would go to him,
- if he was sick, he would visit him.”
his smile ﷺ when he met his companions and spoke with them:

Sayyiduna Jarir said:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never once refused (to see) me after I entered Islam, nor did he ever see me and fail to smile.”
