BTS members all felt pressure to show their worth to external forces like society, their parents, their fans and the music industry. But Jimin had an extra pressure inside the group to prove to his members and the company that it was the right choice to let him debut with them.
Even back then in 2014, he already had such a complex way of thinking about his role in BTS, his maturity and all of the responsibilities that adulthood is going to bring him.
Jimin was struggling with thoughts like "I need to do better, people are relying on me", he was always the last one to leave the practice room and the first one to arrive.

Seeing Jimin from the past, being disappointed about his appearance and seeing the present Jimin who even dislikes the word "diet"...this has been the most beautiful evolution.

Jimin talking about how he didn& #39;t like to be in separate hotel rooms because he would get so lonely. I believe the era he mentions here is late 2017 or early 2018 when BTS were seriously considering disbanding. He felt alone in his struggles.

Jimin mentioned the loneliness thing again in this log. He said he was struggling with negative thoughts but didn& #39;t feel like he could lean on anybody for help because they were all also going through a hard time.

Jimin said that after watching BTS live performance of Young Forever, seeing the fans sing alone with them, he realized that this was his "reason to keep going" that he was looking for. That& #39;s probably also why he got it tattooed on his body...it was like a turning point for him.
Even Jimin& #39;s song Promise was originally a very dark, pessimistic, self-hating song. But after things got better he wrote more positive lyrics meant to encourage being kinder to yourself.

So now whenever I see Jimin smiling at a concert or crying when he gets so overwhelmed about performing, I always remember that being on stage is one of Jimin& #39;s "reasons" that pulled him out of a dark place.

Jimin has always been there for us. Either with his music or trying to cheer us up by chatting on Vlive. He does all of that because he understands exactly how we feel.

It feels so good seeing Jimin being in charge of his own happiness and knowing how to manage it so well.

I think for Jimin happiness has been a choice, it didn& #39;t just happen to him. He has worked hard for it and that& #39;s why he purposefully puts "I& #39;m so happy" stickers and smiley faces all over his bags and clothes.
Everyone encounters struggles along the way and Jimin has gone through so much but I believe he has thick skin and a lot of emotional maturity to deal with all of that in a healthy way now.

Like Jimin says here, you are allowed to define your own happiness. It& #39;s also not a final destination - it& #39;s changeable & it& #39;s ok to re-define it depending on where you are in life.

Watching JM& #39;s evolution throughout the 5 years that I& #39;ve been an fan was so inspirational and it makes me so proud. I hope new ARMYs won& #39;t ignore the progress he& #39;s made to get to this point. Following the whole journey makes you love and appreciate him on a whole different level.
