If I was new to Christianity, & was introduced to Reformed Evangelicalism, esp reformed Baptists, I’d have really hard time discerning the diff b/t their faith & the slave masters they take after. Reformed evangelicalism, w/ it’s puffed up knowledge, makes Christianity look ugly.

If I didn’t know Christ personally, and have a faith rooted in historical theology, reformed [white] evangelicalism would make me not want to have ANYTHING to do with Christianity & reformed Baptists would lead me to believe Christ must never have risen from the grave.

I’m honestly angry about how folks in camp I once belonged to, and who hold to the doctrines of grace which I treasure; have so twisted & perverted it. I LOVE theology, & it angers me to see certain faith traditions strip Christianity of all its love & doctrine of all its beauty.
