So I’m going to talk about Cody/Pre-Gaming for a bit and why I don’t like what went down this season and why Cody winning puts a bad taste in my mouth. #bb22
First off, I DO know pre-gaming is to be expected and it happens because people know each other and are a part of the bb community. My first issue is with production for doing ZERO ZILCH this season to break it up a little bit. Every other season with returnees there were
pairs, groups & shared HOHs which encourage you not to just work with your pre-game connections. What did we have this season? Cody basically being handed the first HOH (which in modern bb arguably the most important to give you control of the house). People can not tell me
Cody won that HOH fair and square. Julie let him go and see the pedestals before they stopped shaking/were reset while no one else got that advantage. It needed to be re-done PERIOD. Might I also add that giving an unfair disadvantage to the women to compete in this HOH
also set the tone for the bros and women hater females 2 take control. They should have given one hard puzzle to both sides and one easy. Instead, all the females got the harder puzzles resulting in 2 females not being able to compete for the HOH. Production created this monster
I also feel Cody’s pre-gaming in particular puts a bad taste in my mouth. First of all, Cody didn’t even pre-game for himself. He let Derrick do it for him because Derrick had way more connections in the community because he’s a top tier winner/player.
If someone wants to work their own ass off making pre-gaming connections then fine but the idea it was handed to him by someone not even playing the game is a bit... much. I also think Derrick went overboard going to the extent he did & he’s not even playing.
When Bayleigh was saying Derrick contacted her on behalf of Cody it was made clear Derrick was clearly contacting everyone beneath the sun. I wouldn’t be surprised if at least more than half the house was aligned with him pre-game. How does someone compete with that?
And he didn’t even do it himself! People always pull Dan into this convo but I honestly think Dan just answered Derrick’s call and set Memphis up with Cody and that’s it. Memphis’ only real pre-game shit was Cody when Dan could have easily set him up like Derrick did Cody.
How can you say Cody is a top tier winner when he had every advantage possible handed to him and he didn’t even do it himself? Yes, Cody won comps but what big moves did he really make to make him a top tier winner? He spent his HOHs getting rid of Kevin and Keesha.
He didn’t even make the alliances he was in. His quadruple dipping is was handed to him because of pre-game connections. I suppose you could argue one HOH he got rid of Tyler but even then he didn’t want to get rid of Tyler until Enzo and Nicole convinced him.
Not to mention Tyler at that point had the least amount of connections, even Christmas had more. Not a big move at that point. The biggest moves in game were made by Day and Tyler. Day for using the POV when no one wanted her using it and Tyler flipping the vote and taking
the first shot at Dani/The committee. I’ll give it to Cody that he’s good at comps but that’s not the only thing that makes you a good player. The top players are strategic and have made big moves. Cody doesn’t have a strategic bone in his body.
I know this is a long thread but I needed to perfectly express my overall opinion on this mess.
