this entire mini album is basically for stay, and this is in my opinion one of the least talked about skz title tracks since it came out during their first year as a group, when releases like District 9 and My Pace took place. it’s a different sound from them during that year

Insomnia (I am WHO, 2018)

the title speaks for itself: the song talks about struggling with insomnia, not being able to sleep at night because of thoughts filling your head and overthinking, not knowing what to do about it. keep in mind the lyrics are written by them

Blueprint (GO LIVE, 2020)

i honestly don’t know what to say other than the fact that these lyrics are so uplifting,,, they talk about believing in yourself and not letting others tear you down while you work hard to reach your goals

19 (Clé 1: MIROH, 2019)

this song talks about the process of growing up, and how it’s hard to accept and get used to, and their anxiety over it

Another Day (GO LIVE, 2020)

i really don’t know how to describe the lyrics, but i personally think everyone at one point in their life can relate to them

You can STAY (clé: LEVANTER, 2019)

yall CANNOT tell me this song isn’t for stay... it’s a comfort song to many of us

raps and lyrics written by Taeyong and Mark, this is one of the songs people bring up the most when talking about their chill music... and rightfully so!
the song talks about leaving behind your past mistakes and moving onto the present

Candle Light (Sm STATION, 2018)

god i’m getting worse and worse at describing these lyrics as the thread goes on, but this was their last song with Mark before he graduated from Dream, and it’s also criminally underrated. it’s absolutely beautiful, both sound and lyrics wise

Paradise (NCT #127, 2016)

a song from 127’s debut mini album, and one of my personal favorites. it’s very comforting to listen to

Long Flight (2019)

this isn’t an nct song, it’s a Taeyong solo, but i HAD to include it because it’s just so beautiful and relaxing? he composed and wrote this himself, and it proves how truly talented he is as an artist

From Home (Resonance Pt. 1, 2020)

NCT have a lot of ballads and slow songs in their discography, and this album is no exception to it. this song features the members singing in their mother languages (korean, chinese and japanese)

by the way i wanna clarify: i said “meaningless” noise music because that’s the thing most people trying to drag their music say... a lot of their “noise music” has amazing lyrics so it’s not something that i personally agree with okay moving on
