An industry "friend" once said to me "You& #39;re so lucky you don& #39;t have to deal with industry thirst."

"What?" I asked

"Half of these events are just people trying to hook up."

"What makes you think I don& #39;t want to?"

[a pause] "Well... you& #39;re disabled. You aren& #39;t here for that" https://twitter.com/tee_spoonie/status/1317537666267754496">https://twitter.com/tee_spoon...
The assumption that because you are disabled you are not a sexual being. That you can& #39;t be interested in that kind of thing cause.. Why would you be?

But video games are a product. Humans sell those products. You really think that sex & attractiveness are not part of what we do?
The comments on that thread include "I don& #39;t want to think about disabled people having sex"

The "friend" assuming human interaction isn& #39;t interesting to me.

It& #39;s the same thing. As if because you are wholesome or positive, you can& #39;t or don& #39;t want to enjoy boobs or a nice butt?
Why am I telling you this? Why am I QTing the original person?

Because it needs to change.

someday I want to do a talk and watch the industry be shocked when wholesome Steve reveals one of his favorite memories is a friend being proud of her body and sharing a private photo.
Imagine. The disabled guy thinking consensual adult things are fun and also still being a role model. IMAGINE.

We have done so much progression. But man we have a ways to go.
I& #39;m so sorry this happened to you, Nova. You are a living example of the situation I& #39;m hoping to bring awareness to.
