Random shitpost headcannons for my AU turtles because I just wanna scribble down some of my thoughts. No particular organization, I may just add to this whenever I see fit.

(A thread)

-Leo is an excellent singer and has learned numerous Japanese lullabies that he will sing to his brothers if they’re sick or upset. He’s embarrassed by it though so no one besides his brothers have ever heard him sing

-Mikey can hold his breath for 5 hours (9 hours if he’s completely relaxed and doesn’t move)

-Mikey and Leo both have secondary eyelids to use while underwater. This also means they can go without blinking for a very long time whenever they space out which is rlly creepy

-Donnie and Raph don’t really like swimming, but they LOVE basking and will often sit up on a rooftop together in the mornings to soak up the sun’s rays

-Raph doesn’t like to talk much but his biggest pet peeve is when someone else speaks for him

-Donnie is a pyromaniac, he’s been banned from crafting flame-throwers

-Mikey will straight up bite people he doesn’t like. Casey did NOT have a good first encounter with him.

-Raph doesn’t like to be the leader but he knows how to take over and calm Leo down if the slider starts to panic or has an anxiety attack

-Mikey and Donnie will both throw themselves into danger and come up with insane plans. They aren’t allowed to be paired together during patrol anymore after the powerplant incident

-Raph and Mikey both really like music and will bond over sharing new songs with each other

-Leo’s favorite paint medium is watercolor

-Raph doesn’t like to leave his room without either putting on clothes or his sports tape because he’s insecure about the burn scars

-Leo and Donnie both hate wearing people clothes. Leo feels too trapped with the limited movement and Donnie hates most textures of fabric

-Raph has a pet geko named Mondo

-Mikey goes ape shit around Mangos, he will murder someone for a Mango. They are his favorite food, dont even try standing between him and a mango

-Leo has a stash of “stress-free” candles. His room always smells very calming.

-Donnie has a hard time “reading the room” and sometimes can be insensitive, his brothers know he’s not trying to be mean though

-Raph is lactose intolerant. That will not stop him.

-Mikey has a pineapple pool float and it’s his favorite place to nap while in the pool in the lair

-The others are always keeping an extra eye on Raph’s right side during a fight because of his blind spot

-Raph and Donnie are both insomniacs but while Raph at least TRIES to sleep, Donnie will just never attempt. This results in Raph dragging Donnie’s ass to bed at the most ungodly hours

-Raph doesn’t like people because they always scream at them in fright. He’s already so insecure about his scars and how scary they make him look that he just avoids humans at all costs (except april)

-April grew up with the turtles because their fathers worked together before Hamato Yoshi was mutated along with four experimental turtles from the workplace. Their families are close even after the mutation

-Donnie has the worst posture, like seriously dude sit up straight oml. Leo is always complaining it’s because of how long Don sits hunched over at his computer

-Mikey may be loud and hyper but he can be VERY sneaky when he really wants something

-Leo babies Mikey big time

-Raph doesn’t like to be mother hen-ed by Leo but knows it’s his way of showing that he cares so Raph lets him anyways

-Leo could walk into the kitchen and one of the appliances will break, dont ever let him cook unless you want the kitchen to blow up

-Donnie is the only one who can go fully into his shell

-Leo can go into his shell slightly

-Raph and Mikey cannot pull into their shells at all

-all of them can purr and chirp like real turtles. Their DNA is more turtle than human.

-they’re all cold blooded and need outside factors to regulate their body temperature, but Donnie and Leo are the most susceptible to cold temperatures.

(Just gonna go ahead and add this here)

-Raph loves meditating with Leo. They both find it very calming, and while Leo will meditate on a daily basis, Raph will probably only join him every few days or so (unless it’s required for training of course)

-Raph’s life literally revolves around his family. He doesn’t vocalize his emotions often but he shows he cares through simple tasks such as finding trinkets with Mikey for his sculptures, preheating the kettle for Leo when he wakes up, or listen to Donnie ramble about his work

Going off of this:

-Raph doesn’t remember the accident at all because he was practically an infant when it happened, but he still has a subconscious fear of fire
