Health demand has increased exponentially beyond public sector capacity , private sector has meet some demand but at heavy cost 1/7
Public health system need radical change complete overhaul in Bihar, as it's outdated and not insync with latest developments.

1. Medical education and research - Huge data gaps which gets more worse with available fudged data. Prioritise research and incentivise it 2/7
Medical education has changed globally, but we are still stuck in past and nostalgic about it.

We are preparing medicos to solve MCQs to get PG seat then to solve real patients issues.

NMC is nothing but old wine in new bottle.

3/7
2. Systemic reforms - Coordination and connecting Primary, secondary and tertiary care digitally. Set accountabilty, implement bidirectional referral.
Audit and follow-up. Make it flexible to incorporate changes based on local context and needs. 4/7
3. One Health - Integrate various health programs and services for ease of access, better usage and acceptability.

4. Communication strategy - Internal and external communication needs complete overhaul. It's archaic and counterproductive. 5/7
5. Sick care to Health Care - Invest in preventive, promotive and palliative care along with curative care. Focus on reducing burden of diseases through primary prevention.

6/7
6. Make Primary health care "Super special" - Tertiary care has now become point of first contact because of systemic apathy of PHC, poor perception and performance has eroded trust over PHC.
Investment, healthworkforce recruitment, availability of resources can only change it.
