Finished. Both seasons are a 10/10. I& #39;ll have my thoughts on it later today. https://twitter.com/inspirashamul/status/1291101722811805697">https://twitter.com/inspirash...

Sangatsu didn& #39;t move it& #39;s place in my favorite anime, but Kiriyama is now 5th followed by like set of characters that start with O lol.

I was hooked all the way from the first episode with the lack of dialogue coming from Kiriyama. And his first spoken line was "That& #39;s a lie". The complex relationship he has with Shogi and the incredibly nuanced characters around him is beautiful.

My favorite episodes were probably Ep. 1, 5, 10, 14, 20, 26, 28, 30, 35, 39, 42 (6 ep from each season).

I will try to start learning Shogi now that I finished the anime, but in no way was I disconnected from the emotions and the struggles both in and out of the matches because of how well the dialogue and visuals bridged through my lack of knowledge of the sport.
