redrafting every nba team's first round picks of the 2010s, a kami production

what i look at in this thread, team needs, player profile, player play style, and best fit, so the best player WILL NOT be picked all the time. also draft time context, surprise players are very iffy
day 1: atlanta hawks, pick 19

2009 draft original pick: jeff teague

new pick: also jeff teague

ATL starts the decade off on the right foot as they needed some point guard depth with mike bibby and JT was the perfect fit for them

HM: darren collison, patrick beverley
atlanta hawks 2010 draft 24 pick

original pick: damion jones (traded)

new pick: jordan crawford

this is tough since the hawks traded jones for crawford, so you could chalk this as no change too, but i just felt it would be more convenient if they drafted him straight up yk
atlanta hawks 2011 draft (would be pick 18 but traded to wizards along with mike bibby, jordan crawford and maurice evans for hilton armstrong and kirk hinrich.)

2nd round pick (pick 48): keith benson

new pick: isaiah thomas

don't think this needs much explanation honestly
atlanta hawks 2012 draft pick 23

original pick: john jenkins

new pick: khris middleton

hawks looking for swingman depth in this draft and take john jenkins over khris middleton, honestly i have no idea why middleton fell in this draft, but here the hawks take him much earlier
atlanta hawks 2013 draft pick 18

original pick: shane larkin (traded)

new pick: tim hardaway jr

atl hits it on the head with the 17th pick and dennis schroder, but flop with the selection of shane larkin, here they get hardaway, who's a good wing and adds much needed depth
atlanta hawks 2014 draft pick 15

original pick: adreian payne

new pick: jerami grant

payne had good potential out of college but could never put it together, his selection made the hawks crowded at pf, with the selection of grant, they get a backup sf, and some added defense
atlanta hawks 2015 draft pick 15

original pick: kelly oubre (traded)

new pick: still kelly oubre

the hawks made a stupid decision to trade away oubre, especially since they didn't get shit in return, in this redraft the hawks keep him and he helps with their depth and defense
atlanta hawks 2016 draft pick 21

original pick: deandre bembry

new pick: pascal siakam

i had high hopes for bembry on draft night but he didn't turn out great, in this redraft the hawks get all-star pascal siakam who adds some new depth and versatility to a roster lacking that
atlanta hawks 2017 draft pick 19

original pick: john collins

new pick: john collins still

by 2017 atlanta had fully started their rebuild and they needed the best young player available, and they hit it on the head with collins, who's turned out to be a great player for them
atlanta hawks 2018 draft pick 3

original pick: luka doncic (traded)

new pick: luka doncic

now, don't get me wrong i like trae a lot, but he ain't no luka, you only stumble across a luka once in a million years and if the hawks did this draft again i'd bet they'd agree with me
atlanta hawks 2019 draft pick 10

original pick: cam reddish

new pick: cam reddish

i see no problem in this pick. cam had an odd start to the season but had a solid second half up till the restart, he's got great two way potential and i hope he can be something good very soon
end of thread! this took a little while so i'd appreciate if you'd interact or retweet or something, of course you don't have to but i'd really appreciate it, doing day 2 and the boston celtics tomorrow most likely. thank you for your time!
