THREAD: Why Massachusetts voters should approve ranked-choice voting, explained with Muppets
Under RCV, voters rank as many candidates as they like in order of preference. If no candidate gets a majority of first-place votes...
...the last-place candidate is eliminated and their votes are reassigned to their second choice.
This continues until a candidate has a majority.
Benefits:

-candidate with most support wins
-voters can support third parties without worrying about vote wasting
-less partisanship since extreme stances are less appealing
-more people (esp women and POC) run for office
