Rewatching cursed...again

I’m gonna say it like a thousand times while watching this but honestly the scenery is beautiful

Again this show just looks visually beautiful. I’m glad they’ve gone for an artistic look at it (with Frank Miller and all, love his work for the movie 300). I have to say I like the background music too

I hate Carden but I can’t deny he’s a good character. Like you hate him but that’s what he’s there for. Also can’t deny that his quotes (+his voice) are like the coolest. He’s got a good script.

I actually really enjoy uthers character ngl. The actor is really good and I actually find uther really interesting

I feel like they explain shadow lords better in the book so hopefully in season 2 (they better renew cursed) they’ll explain them with more detail like in the book

The scene in the tavern is the only scene where Nimue seems really immature (which is fine, perfect characters are boring). We never really see her like that again. Guess she had to grow up fast

Wish Nimue could have this much control in other situations and not just with a game of dice then again rolling some dice and using nature to take a life probably takes a different level of power

I know they didn’t need Arthur because they weren’t found by the paladins but I’m glad he turned up lol. Like I know Nimue is powerful but she doesn’t really know how to control it yet (looking forward to that development of her controlling it)

Okay so her first vision includes the sword surround by fire, Arthur curled up naked, her drowning/swimming frantically, green fire (probably fey fire), some of the leper kings people I think, someone’s hand coming through a prison of thorns and branches +

+ a cross surrounded by fire, a hand (probably belongs to one of the leper kings people by the looks of it, or even then leper kings hand), a spider (the celiac probably), the sword fall in Water, candles and the sword surrounded by fire, much like the cross

So a lot of fire and water themes going on there... take from that what you will

I know this is really random but next time you watch cursed, listen out for the music in the background. I’m starting to appreciate it I’m goad they didn’t use pop music for a fantasy tho. They have it in like one scene but Katherine sung is so that’s fair enough.

Like the music after Nimue has the vision and merlin is looking through the book near the end of ep one makes the scene sound really mysterious because he’s trying to figure out what’s going on. Really works for the situation

Always thought Nimue’s hiding place was a little bit weird but then again I’ve only just noticed that child hiding in pretty much the same way she did

Setting wolves on someone is a tad bit fucked up but they were just burning people alive so I’m not surprised. Poor wolves tho lmao

Visually this scene is cool but I will say the graphics don’t look the best. That’s not something that actually bothers me tho. I think people talk shit about some graphics in the show because they’ve become a bit spoiled with bigger shows. This is season 1. Give it a chance

Also I love the music in this scene too (when she’s fighting the wolves) I feel like there’s quite a lot of emotion behind it tbh
