The theme of each edition is in line with protecting a state which once perceived itself as "the island of Christianity in a sea of Pagans" Hence, a recurring theme is that Oromos are portrayed as savages, accompanied by images of sharp materials, blood, and gore.
Islam, a menacing faith, will always be thrown into the mix in opposition to Orthodox Christianity. Tegarus are usually depicted as people who are hell-bent on destabilizing Ethiopia. Whatever the case, there is the Christian, "modern", "civilized" Amhara vs z savage other.
Exhibit A: Their Sept. edition, 2012, shows Oromia's President pushing what looks like a construction cart that has a snake in it. He is also crashing past a pigeon, bleeding out under his feet. The headline says "Abba Gada or Abba Koda".
A columnist has also written something complaining about Irreecha. So, the Oromo is accompanied by a snake, blood, death; their heritage, both Ireecha and the Gada, are obviously not shown in a positive light—all in one edition.
Exhibit B: Their August edition is nothing but xenophobic. It implies the city that they call Addis Abeba has become Addis Obbo-ba. Obbo, the Oromo word for 'Mister'. "The city is becoming Oromo" when it's evidently one. This is further implied with the bottle ...
Exhibit C: The October edition features Jawar. Jawar is a Muslim, so he is obviously going to need more facial hair, look dangerous, like someone from the Middle East. If that doesn't send the message home, let's drop Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's name, next to Qerro and Lagadaddhi.
Exhibit D: Another edition in October has Jawar again on its Agenda: "Why are Jawar & Egypt shocked" asks the title in regards to the dam.

Exhibit E: Another edition in October features Jawar and Abiy. Abiy represents peace, someone who is on their side, whereas Jawar is depicted as evil: in crimson red, strange tongue, etc.

This depiction of Oromos as a purposeless force is not a new invention. You will find it everywhere in Ethiopian history.

Exhibit F: Topic is corruption here but in covering that, they not surprisingly fail to extricate it from their bigotry. Hence, what this edition wants to highlight is that it is the Oromo who is corrupt, not just Aba Dula. So Gemeda, eat your fill, embezzle as much as you can.

So, an actual killer is depicted in more humane ways than say, Jawar, who hasn't taken a single soul in his life. Can you imagine how lopsided their worldview is?
