Cop in Fredrick MD said he couldn't see my seatbelt... ran against a red shirt.
So I'll continue since I stopped. He came up on my left, and honestly I doubt he could see anything but my fat arm. He slams on breaks and stares, I knew the deal. I started getting over before he jumped behind me and put his lights on. Pulled over, car off, hands outside window
So he walks up and asks "oh, did you have your seatbelt on, I couldn't see it because it's really high on your neck". I glared and said "yes, I pulled right over, turned my car off, put my hands outside my window and pulled them back in when you approached so you didn't see a
Threat, when would I have time to put it on"
Him: sorry, I just couldn't see it. Is this your car?
Me; sigh yes.
Him: can I have your license
Me: ok but that means I have to reach in my@pocket where I keep it, which is out of your sight
Him: nods
He runs my info, comes back
And says ok your record is clean, duh I mutter, so here's a warning
Me: why am I getting a warning if you admitted you couldn't tell and just stopped me and I did nothing wrong?
Him: well I have to@document the stop somehow
Me: charging me with a crime is the way to document
Me: does that sound like a great idea?
Him: just kinda stares. Well it's how we do it
Me: it's horrible. A warning could mean the next one is automatically not a warning and I've done nothing
Him: sorry sir it's just what we do

So see this is the shit that needs to change.
There is 0 reason for me to get a charge, even a warning, just to document a stop. I did nothing wrong. At all. He admits it. But now I get a frivolous charge to "document" the encounter. That's aggressive af and treating me as a criminal because this idiot can't see. There needs
To be a better way to@document a frivolous stop than something so damn aggressive
