WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP RETWEETING #EndSARS NOW MORE THAN EVER.
-creating a global awareness as to the ongoings of this movement has never been more vital. The recent increase in government sponsored thugs causing violence at these protests is a strategic ploy. Thread
The focus of these attacks is not just intended to disrupt the protests, but the increasing violence and deaths it brings is intended to justify a prospective forced military action by the government.
just yesterday, the osun state governorship convoy was attacked, vehicles severely damaged by these hoodlums whilst the governor was on his way to meet the protesters.
That and also the recent deaths and property damages from the recent violent attacks, the government would have the grounds to categorise the circumstances around our protests as violent. It is therefore not a matter of if, but when the military would be rolled out to end it.
This is all these people know. That’s the Nigeria they were raised in. They cannot uphold a democracy because they don’t even know what that is. When this happens, you can almost guarantee lots of human collateral damage...hence my point
By still retweeting, you’re inevitably saving the lives of numerous protesters, cause as inhumane, callous, insensitive and useless our leaders are, they would be careful in their approach when they know they are being monitored beneath the global microscope
The more you trend the hashtag, the more awareness we create and the more monitored our leaders feel. We’ve been doing an excellent job so far. DON’T GIVE UP NOW. #EndSARS #EndSARS
