(1/2) While Govt still maintains no community transmission and Army is scampering to round up people and put them in hastily arranged and sorry excuses for quarantine centres the questions to the decision makers though are:
(2/2) having known the nature of virus and definite possibility of flare ups what was done to
- increase the testing capacity and implement a systematic testing programme
- increase the treatment capacity
- be prepared with a distributed quarantine center system @HPBSriLanka
1) what was our testing capacity in April? Whats it now? Ideally what should it be?
2) what capacity did we have to treat Covid19 patients in isolation in our hospitals in April? What do we have now?
3) how many functional ICU beds did we have in April? How many do we have now
4) what is the quarantine center capacity in each district? What should our capacity be given sri lankans returning from other countries and occasional flare ups as we are experiencing now.
5) how many PHIs do we have and has there been an increase in their Number/capacity?
In addition to closure of airports and safety advice and throwing the Army at all problems what measures has the govt taken? Shouldn’t this be an issue to be discussed at the parliament urgently? @PresRajapaksa @sajithpremadasa @MASumanthiran @ManoGanesan @anuradisanayake
