Mike Todd is both wrong and right, depending on the audience. If your talking to all Christians, yes our sin has been covered by the blood of Jesus. Where he went wrong was broadcasting to millions, that their sin doesn’t send them to hell. Right message, wrong audience
As always, this is why I highly recommend theological training to preachers. A basic course on homiletics will help you avoid making those type of mistakes
And the most dangerous part of all is that we are seeing a reemergence of old heresy known as Christian Universalism that dismisses the need for repentance, judgment for sin, or even seeing Jesus as Lord. Heresy comes back every generation with new packaging
Lastly, through a proper understanding of the doctrine of double imputation we understand it isn’t our specific sins that Christ died for, but He died to redeem our sin nature. This is why we must be born again, not for doing bad things but for being a bad thing, a sinner.
