It& #39;s #irishbookweek and I& #39;ve been trying to stay off the twitter but I want to shout out some of my favourite Irish Young Adult books!
Everything @propermiss writes is magical so this is just one of her wonderful works along with illustrator @karenmvaughan . And I cannot wait to dive into their new collaboration Savage Her Reply, a Lir retelling that I am saving for when I have a few days off. #irishbookweek
. @chennessybooks is one of the nicest book people I& #39;ve ever met and her writing is so sharp and funny. And she& #39;s been doing it since she was but a bebe. Honestly. too accomplished for any one person, it& #39;s a crime. #irishbookweek
Moonrise remains one of the only books that& #39;s made me cry. I have not yet forgiven @SarahCrossan but I think she still sleeps at night regardless. #irishbookweek
OBSESSED with this book. @oneilllo is so incisive and entertaining at the same time. #irishbookweek
Ah one of my fellow YA debuts! @hcor has written an elegant story of political intrigue and ladies who have feelings and books to share with one another. #IrishBookWeek
I must mention a book I read fully 1000 times growing up, by the absolute Queen of Irish children& #39;s books Siobhan Parkinson. Cindy is part of my soul...and incidentally, it& #39;s also where I learned the word urbane and blanched. I don& #39;t know why I remember that. #IrishBookWeek
And I mustn& #39;t forget one of my recent faves by Alvy Carragher. This book is so funny and sweet and comforting and I want more people to read it.
