A thread of why police officers are brutal and greedy. Most of these officers are underpaid and have families whom they struggle to feed but that doesn't give them the right to feast on innocent citizens and kill them. Each day and week they are given a Target to meet by the DPO

And they have to do everything necessary to meet that Target and also to get a few extra for themselves cos according to them "na where Dem dey work Dem go chop" and all the DPO's of each division in the state gives weekly returns to the commissioner of police

And the commissioner settles those above him as well. When a commissioner isn't settling as usual he may be removed and taken to another state where there is low income and a more trusted commissioner will be sent to states where there is enough income.

Same with the DPO's if they don't settle the commissioners.And the junior officers are those who feel the pressure the most and that's why they are the ones who worry and harass the youths mostly. This thread is to show the corruption on the police system that needs to be stopped

*Government should increase police salary and there should be other benefits for them.
*Prosecute any officer who takes bribe or put pressure on junior officers to meet a Target.
*Bail should be free.
*Empoly educated people and make them heads of each department in the force

And most importantly
Give citizens the right to record any conversation or encounter with any Nigerian police officer.
