Few thoughts on the derby...
Liverpool were closer to their best than Everton were. A point after a poor display against the champions is both surprising and encouraging.
Everton will not face that level of performance very often this season. They should not fear anyone.

Both sides suffered because of the officiating, but there were more wrong decisions in Liverpool& #39;s favour.
- No red card for Pickford
- No red card for Robertson
- No red card for Mane
- No penalty for TAA& #39;s foul on Richarlison
- No penalty for Adrian foul on DCL

You can argue the impact of sending Pickford off would have been greater. That& #39;s probably true. The other incidents then might not happen.
But just dealing with the actual refereeing rather than hypotheticals, the majority of the bad decisions benefited Liverpool.

As for Henderson& #39;s disallowed goal, this is a flawed rule that screws over and benefits everyone.
The flawed rule was correctly applied here. Hopefully it will now be added to the ever-growing list of examples that will ultimately be used to prompt a rule change.

BT Sport& #39;s hero worship commentary was really unhelpful.
It& #39;s reasonable they had extensive replays and discussion of Pickford& #39;s foul and Mane& #39;s offside given their importance, but there was none - actually none! - for the other incidents.
That& #39;s appalling broadcasting.
