Done. And I'll start with the cons.
*It is incredibly irresponsible in its treatment of LGBT+ characters.
*And for a show that goes out of its way to focus on its female characters by giving them significant spotlight, its sex scenes are way too male gazey.

*Tic and Leti aren't compelling either together or as individual characters. I can't feel any chemistry between them & I just can't take anything involving them seriously.

*I didn't see that Emmet Till reference coming. It was a bit jarring and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
But overall it's a great show. Aesthetically pleasing (has some really AMAZING shots) and entertaining. I LOVE the genre hopping too.
Hippolyta and Montrose are very engaging characters.
Episode 7 ("I Am") is by far my favourite.
I also really enjoy the lore behind the show.
Revisiting this thread now and virtually everything she said was spot on. We can love the show and also agree her criticism is valid.
Lovecraft Country does take itself a bit too seriously sometimes and I guess its rubbing off on the fans. https://twitter.com/TheRahrahGabor/status/1313579370825560065
