I honestly wonder: is it possible to lose weight in a feminist, fat-positive way? the answer is probably no but I'm tired of being oppressed lol
like what do you do when your ideology is at odds with what will make your life easier (i.e. conforming)
I guess the answer is to remain a strong advocate and ally and not engage in behaviours that lead to more oppression? (watching my language, not making diet-culture-y content, centring fat activists)
and I shouldn't feel so bad about wanting to escape the fatphobia that has caused measurable harm in my life, and potential harm it can do (esp. in med contexts) -- even if the only actual way it will go away for good is systemic change
I can't fault myself for that, especially when it still seems ok to discriminate against fat bodies, even in the most left-wing spaces
and so few people seem to want to learn

so fuck it

I'm gonna see what happens
