Quite unbelievable that people like him and epidemiologists like Francois Balloux were not seconded onto groups like SAGE - they are people who are really strong on the importance of the science being evidence based and that scientists

should be there to give scientific advice to politicians who then make the decisions - unfortunately science and politics have been become intermingled in the sense how the science is interpreted is tending to be done from a political viewpoint as opposed to a scientific one.

Sadly Independent Sage full of good scientists are letting their views be affected by the divide entering politics.

Don't be like Independent Sage or Devi and let politics drive you, let the evidence.

Even the experts have picked sides based on their politics not evidence.
