I cannot stress enough how purposely mispronouncing a Black woman’s name is a microaggression https://twitter.com/jameshamblin/status/1317232475651887105
Everyone who keeps saying her name is not black is missing the point. The origin of the name is not the issue. She is still a black woman. It’s the purposeful mispronunciation that’s disrespectful. But y’all got it.
In addition, please look on google to see she comes from a Jamaican father and an Indian mother.
Even if you feel that she isn’t for “us [black people],” black women in GENERAL face name microaggresions consistently and that video was a great example.

Anywho, y’all be easy. Remember to ask yourself “did I research this” before responding.

I have nothing to promote but research all of the candidates, thoroughly read their entire platform, and vote.
