Why most BL Stans are active about social and political issues:

✨a thread✨
When I say BL stans, I meant those fans who truly understand what Boys Love is. Boys Love, at its core, is a social and political move underneath a sub-genre tag. It should be just Romance because love is love, tbh.
If you hype BL content coz of the laplapan, the husband-wife stereotype, the top-bottom dynamics, and cringe at irl same-sex couples, then do some reflection. Maybe you’re just in it for the fetish.
BL is a social and political move to disturb an old mindset that love is only for the cisgendered.

If you find that mindset revolting, then welcome to the club. You’re socially and politically awake.
Now, why are we active when the issue isn’t even about LGBTQA+?

Why not? And why aren’t you?
The man who imprisoned an activist, separated her from her newborn child, not allowing her pardon to even mourn said child properly, is the same man who pardoned a foreigner after he killed Jennifer, a transgender woman.
It may not make sense to you how being a true BL Stan relates to being socially and politically active. It’s simple. We believe love is for everyone. We believe in equality.
And that’s really the main issue here, right? Equality has been a struggle that gave birth to so many issues. When one class believes they are superior, that’s when strings are pulled. The greed shows up. Justice is bought.
So here we are. Still active. Still fighting for what is right.

Tbh, I don’t really know why I created this thread. I just want to share my thoughts on how proud I am to be part of this family.
Again, ask yourself. Why not?
