Last days has been difficult and full of frustration. My super-careful mom got covid-19 about 10 days ago. Apart from her age which is 64, she is healthier than me ( according to our family doctor), with no pre-existing condition. However, she has all symptoms from A to Z...

Being far away from her and not being able to travel was so frustrating... And following up on her every med, every day routine and try to help her, calm her was required long hours spent behind the phone...

Currently she is in hospital and connected to oxygen in order to keep her oxygen saturation over 95% and on loads of dexametasone shots...

Here, I want to share some info regarding the covid situation in Iran. 1st, multiply the official numbers for new cases and total death to 8-10. 2nd, The health workers are all exhausted, one of my mom's doctors which is an infection specialist, and family acquaintance...

He has aged so much in the last six months, due to work pressure, and he is not the only one. My hometown has population of 700K, and already all public hospital and privates are mostly assigned to Covid patients, even one hospital which was only for children with cancer..

8 hospitals .... No empty beds, new patients are kept in emergency rooms... After three days of waiting for a bed for my mom, we were able to get her admitted only yesterday. She already has suffered from oxygen saturation lower than 90% for three days!

Currently, she is better and on full rest connected to oxygen. But I wonder how many more are out there, in critical condition with no luck in getting admitted in a hospital...
