1. what is naver?
naver is a korean search engine that offers various services, such as access to news, email, and more. it, along with daum, are the two search engines that the vast majority of koreans use.

2. why is it important to react to naver articles?

reacting to naver articles helps monsta x and wonho with brand reputation (telling media and brands that they are relevant), gets them more articles, and helps the article reach more people

this is especially important because in an industry as saturated as kpop, people need to know that monsta x and wonho are doing cool things so that they can check them out-most people only really click on recommended or trending articles!!

3. trending

trending is the key part of this thread!! since ppl only really click on trending articles and keywords (naver displays top trends all the time), to make sure non-fans know what monsta x and wonho are doing, we need to TREND what they’re doing!!

3. trending cont.
so how do we trend news about them? trending on naver has two key parts: articles and keywords.

keywords are short phrases such as ‘몬스타엑스 컴백’ (monsta x comeback) that sum up a news topic. to trend a keyword, you need to search the keyword on naver and scroll through the results, clicking+staying for 30 secs on relevant articles and reacting to them

if there are no articles related to that keyword, it will not trend! additionally, if we manage to get the keyword on naver trends, going to the trending list and clicking on the keyword there will also help!!

for an article to trend along with the keyword, it needs a LOT of reactions and views in a short amount of time. the bare minimum is 1-2k reactions and way more views - depending on other trends, you might need upwards of 10,20k views to trend-all in a short amount of time!!

the easiest time to trend is whenever @OfficialMonstaX or @official__wonho tweet out a link, because it’s new and easy to spread, so PLEASE view, search keywords (i will try to tweet them out) and react and recommend asap!!

4. what do you need to react+recommend on naver?
all you need is a naver account- and do search keywords and view articles, you don’t need a naver account (but pls make one anyway for reactions)
