I tend to dislike demographic analyses of politics as they are too often depoliticized (ie overfocus on "millennials" not class &c). But the gender gap in the US election is pretty significant & in BC the gender gap on #SiteC has been very stark. It's odd we seldom discuss this.
If only women voted in the US, no Trump. And in 2017 our internal polling showed that if only women voted in BC, #SiteC would immediately be off the table. It was the single starkest demographic gap of all those we looked at. Machismo at play in both?
(And by "if only women voted" I'm not saying I wish women voted more, I'm saying "If the vote were restricted to women only, no men" - but you all got that, I am sure)
