Common themes with & #39;successful& #39; crypto/NFT Artists.

There& #39;s definitely some patterns,

2/ & #39;successful& #39;& #39; is subjective.

In this case we& #39;re being shallow and talking sales $.

Coz let& #39;s face it.

Most Artists need to get paid. (Like everyone else).
3/ Story

Artists that do big numbers, have been in the scene for a while.

Whether Crypto or Art in general.

Jose Delbo - 87 yrs old, artist for early DC & Marvel Comics. (Wonder Woman, Transformers, etc.

Trevor Jones - Big sales like & #39;Picasso& #39;s bull& #39;s, big collectors, etc.
4/ Marketing.

Some of you are like & #39;eugh marketing& #39;.

But growing a social presence is essential in these times.

More social followers, has generally seen more/higher sales.

Unless there& #39;s a strong & #39;real world& #39;s demand.
5/ Collecting Collectors

Collectors collect Art
Artists collect Collectors.

Seen those that price with the above in mind do well.

First art pieces being & #39;cheap& #39; or affordable for many collectors.

Then they slowly ride that momentum till there& #39;s a TON of collectors watching.
6/ Pricing

Again, seen those that keep prices affordable at the start do well.

Eg, 0.1-.2 ETH seems to be a sweet spot. (First pieces).

If editions of 10.

As they release more drops, they get more collectors and then start releasing bigger drops.
7/ Scarcity

Collecting is a LOT about scarcity.

Nothing beats a 1/1

10/10 is still pretty rare.

The moment there& #39;s 1,000 NFT editions, I& #39;ve seen them hardly sell.

No & #39;collector& #39; feel.

Those that match collector appetite with scarcity + pricing seem to do well.
8/ Unique Art/Talent.

An obvious one.

Art buying is a subjective matter.

But those that seem to continually perfect their craft, do well.

Mostly, it& #39;s apparent which are high effort pieces.

This intersects with building a story.
9/ Luck

Sometimes a big collector fancies a piece.

And boom it sells for something crazy.

Then a lot more collectors pay attention which sells the next drops.

Generally, the harder people work, the luckier they seem to get.
10/ Themes

Crypto art on relevant matters is quite appealing in this part of town.

Not for all, but seen a trend.

I& #39;ve seen themed art, from known artists do well.

Or sometimes new artists get their art picked up due to the buzz.
11/ Persistence.

No substitute to working your a$$ off.

Most artist that do big sales have been at it for years, decades.

It& #39;s the way most things work.

Fail, learn, fail, learn, fail, learn, win.
12/ Disclaimer.

This is just what I& #39;ve observed.

Not advice, just my take.

Could be way different for other collectors and artists.

So take from it what you will.
