second of all, he was ASKED by the magazine to be on the cover. immediately at the release of the cover, he put out this statement saying he was an ally and that he felt guilty about being on the magazine:

third of all, the merch: his aesthetic for his debut album was “the one man boyband” and he had multiple characters with their own colors, each representing a characteristic about himself. the rainbow is all the characters coming together to make him and is not about pride

so he isn’t queerbaiting. he has always been openly straight.
