Global Hunger Index has 3 components: Under nourishment, Child underweight and mortality are the parameters

Total under nourished people in India in 2006: 24.9 Cr; 2019: 18.9 Cr. 21% of population (116 Cr) was under nourished in 2006 against 14% of population in 2019 (135 Cr).

Child underweight: In 2005: 46% of Indian children were underweight. 2019: 33%.

Child mortality under age five: Estimated 23.5 Lakh kids died under age 5 in the year 2005. 8.24 Lakh in 2019. Reduction despite increase in population.

The question should be what the hell was congress doing when 24.9 Cr were under nourished, 46% kids were under weight and 23.5 Lakh CMR. And they shamelessly question despite witnessing significant fall when the population went by 19 Cr in 10 years.
