A little thread on my thoughts surrounding United right now:
(As a quick TL;DR: I want Ole and our players to turn this around; for this set of players and manager to succeed would mean everything to us, but, there are a great deal concerns that make things complicated.)

Quickly I want to mention how many people attack others when joking around the idea of Poch (or others) being manager. It’s human to want change when things aren’t going 100%. It’s unfair to say that you can’t consider it at all.
This thread goes into some thoughts about it too.

First, its weird that people gatekeep how we should support our club. A big example I see is anything critical of Ole is instantly ‘negative’
I really want Ole to succeed, but me also admiring other managers is irrelevant to that. To be balanced and fair you need to be critical.

Having faith only takes you so far, an example is having faith in a manager that has already proved themselves before, hence you give them time. It’s why I wasn’t ‘JoseOut’ until the last minute.
Having faith in Ole just because it’s a love story at Utd doesn’t make sense to me.

I think an objective way to look at us right now is this:
- Ole hasn’t been backed properly
- Our squad is still fatigued from last season
- No real pre season
But!
- Our style of play isn’t consistent
- We rely too heavily on moments
- We seldom look structurally organised

I’ll keep saying this: I despise the Glazers, BUT, it’s up to Ole to get everything he can from our players. It’s fair to say that we have the 3rd best squad behind L’pool and City.
We have so much potential.
I hope Ole proves me wrong. I’ll still give him time to do that but...

The reasoning behind looking at new managers is this:
I see how quick Ancelotti has revolutionised Everton.
Jose is bringing another level to Spurs.
Bielsa has taken Leeds straight to competing vs L’pool and City!
Why can’t our players do more?! We keep seeing only glimpses!

It’s very fair to say that on our day, especially vs top 6, Ole can structure the team well wherein the players look well rehearsed and organised. An example is the 2-0 vs City.
We hit the floor running post lockdown, but quickly became stale and tailed off as we got found out.

Imo we were fortunate to get third. Despite that, I still praised Ole for achieving it.
I won’t even analyse the start of this season because it’s abysmal. From the players to Ole, they need to look within themselves hard.
If we were run like Bayern, this wouldn’t be tolerated

I also want to add that I don’t think it’s fair to compare our start to L’pool losing to Villa and City to Leicester etc. For them it’s an anomaly, for us it’s almost... understandable? We frequently lose to teams like Palace, our problems aren’t synonymous with L’pool or City’s.
From this Newcastle game onwards, I pray that we turn this around. I have a glimmer of faith that we can, because I know that these players can produce. More than anything, I want Ole to prove me wrong.
But, a leopard doesn’t change its spots.
Ole’s future is in his own hands.

I know this thread turned out long, but it’d be great to hear what you think!
This is also aimed at some who have been attacking me recently because I don’t conform to their opinions. They need to understand that it isn’t their way or no way.
Debate is good, conflict isn’t
