The GOP legislature used a lame-duck legislative session after Evers was elected to give itself powers he was elected to wield. Then they scored a court ruling that gave them control of health emergency powers… and didn’t pass a single one.
Most recently, a judge formerly active in Republican politics overturned a health order by @GovEvers to limit capacity at indoor bars and restaurants. Meanwhile, coronavirus has spiraled out of control in our state. We’re setting up field hospitals here.
Tony Evers, one of the least partisan human beings in America, wakes up every day focused on doing the right thing for Wisconsin.

Governor Evers is doing exactly what common sense and science suggest. Because of that, he’s one of the most popular figures in the state. For an extreme fringe of Republican activists, that in itself is infuriating.
The GOP is trying to overturn the results of the 2018 election by any means available—partisan court orders, lame-duck legislation, a push for supermajorities, and recalls.

Wisconsin, we poured our hearts into the 2018 election.
We battled our way through voter suppression and obstruction.
We sent Scott Walker packing.
And we elected someone who serves us all: Tony Evers.
