I’ve watched with horror, shock and disbelief the inhuman treatment and killing of innocent Nigerian youths protesting for their right to just be and just live! Is it too much to ask? Can we just be? Can we just walk in the streets in peace? Can I unsee these videos?
The right of life is a fundamental human right! Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and many more. Everyone is entitled to these rights, without discrimination.
Adding to this thread that all protests to the best of my knowledge and from what I’ve observed have all been peaceful. Why open fire and shoot at innocent unarmed youths protesting peacefully just for the right to live and to be? Why?
