A friend's daughter who has learning difficulties and needs pureed food is in @SheffChildrens.

No accessible menu. They can't puree food cos "no machine" so patient is left with no choice and often just mashed potato. Nutritious, not! Staff don't seem to care.

Around 2% of the population have a learning disability so it's not rare. Accessible menus should be antipatable.

Pureed food is needed by many people, especially those who may need regular hospitalisation. Also anticipatable.

Hospitals are more likely to have patients with LDs and other impairments needing food. There should be a system for recording dietary needs and meeting them, rapidly!

Nutrition is basic!
