A President cannot just decide to "pack the Court." To expand the number of seats, Congress would have to vote to amend the Judiciary Act. Assuming a bill was introduced, and passed, then a President @JoeBiden would have to decide whether to sign it. Would he? #CourtPacking /2

As @JoeBiden says about #RBG's vacancy, I have no doubt he believes the American people deserve to have their voices heard on the so-called #CourtPacking question. There would be debate. He would listen to those voices before deciding whether to sign a bill to expand #SCOTUS /4

And this, in the end, is why we must elect @JoeBiden - and @TheDemocrats. Biden has the willingness, and ability, to listen to and be guided by the voices of the American people. As @realDonaldTrump and @GOP demonstrate every day, even now, they don't care about that at all. /6
In the midst of an election they realize they are likely to lose, @GOP is feverishly working to take #healthcare away from millions, to shove an ideological #SCOTUS nominee down our throats, despite overwhelming public opposition. Their own power is their only guiding light. /7
As nearly a quarter million Americans are in their graves from #COVID19, some @GOP politicians are just beginning to see that groveling before the Trump altar may not be in their best political interests (which is all they care about).
