Early voting has started in North Carolina. If you live here, this thread is for you!

Here is information about early voting, including C-19 safeguards: https://www.ncsbe.gov/voting/vote-early-person
Please remember to RESEARCH who you are voting for. Just "voting blue" is not good enough if you have multiple Dems for an office (as we do in Durham). Make sure you know what candidates stand for.

Not sure where to start? Try Google or Ballotopedia: https://ballotpedia.org/North_Carolina_elections,_2020
On that topic, we are not just voting for president. The downballot votes are opportunities to:

1. Get rid of Tillis
2. Get rid of Rs gerrymandering the state
3. Thoughtfully choose local candidates to improve our communities

Research all of them.
Not sure who's on your local ballot or where to go to vote?

Here's the State Board of Elections site where you can look up sample ballots based on your polling station: https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/
Last, I'm gonna add this: Maybe I lived in Europe for too long and got too comfortable with how much better life could be. So I don't love the Biden-Harris ticket. They're way to the right of me, as are most Democrat politicians.

But I'm gonna turn up and vote Dem.
Not voting isn't an option for me and never has been.

There is always too much at stake when people who look like me and share my intersections are subject to systemic violence.
Not voting isn't an option because it's not just about me.

Voting as progressively as I can is one thing I can do to try helping everyone.

*Especially* in a swing state.

Much love y'all. Stay safe.
