One Million: June 22, 2015

By the time BTS gathered their first million, they’d already had their twitter account for four years.
Two Million: March 18, 2016

The Most Beautiful Moment in Life pt. 2 came out in November 2015 and Young Forever wouldn’t be released until May: BTS hit two million followers in between comebacks.
Three Million: August 29, 2016

Three years after their debut, BTS’ career continued to bubble underneath the surface of mainstream popularity.
Four Million: December 31, 2016

The month prior to four million, BTS won the first Daesang of their career for Album of the Year at the Melon Music awards.
Five Million: April 7th, 2017

Five days before hitting five million Twitter followers, BTS performed in California for the 2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour. The tour traveled to twelve countries and served 550,000 fans.
Six Million: May 28th, 2017

Following their attendance and win at the Billboard Music Awards, BTS continued their worldwide Wings tour and performed in Australia on the 26th before heading to Osaka, Japan for a concert on the 30th.
Seven Million: July 28th, 2017

BTS took a break from touring in July and August; they’d already performed thirty-two shows and wouldn’t resume the tour until October. It’s presumed they worked on their EP Love Yourself: Her during this break, the follow-up release to Wings.
Eight Million: September 5th, 2017

The day prior to their eight-millionth follower, the teaser trailer for Her, “Intro: Serendipity” dropped. Love Yourself: Her was released fourteen days later on September 18th. Her debuted at No. 1.
Nine Million: October 12th, 2017

The Wings tour would resume from its break two days later on the 14th. When they reached nine million, BTS was still feeling the elation of “DNA” peaking at No. 67 on the Hot 100 earlier in the month.
Ten Million: November 13th, 2017

Taking another break from their tour after their concert in Macau on the 4th, BTS was back in the United States by the 13th.
Eleven Million: December 13th, 2017

BTS held a Japanese Fanclub event the same day they hit eleven million. After their AMAs performance, BTS’ popularity in the United States and abroad exploded.
Twelve Million: January 17th, 2018

On the 11th, the band took home another Daesang at the Golden Disc Awards for Love Herself: Her. And won another Daesang at the Seoul Music Awards eight days after.
Thirteen Million: March 4th, 2018

BTS was ten days from announcing Burn The Stage, a documentary about their worldwide Wings tour, on March 4th. BTS was also in the middle of upcoming album.
Fourteen Million: April 9, 2018

BTS released their third Japanese album Face Yourself on the 4th. On the 16th, BTS announced their new album, Love Yourself: Tear. And fan meeting. Two days after the muster ended, the BTS World Tour: Love Yourself concert tour would be announced.
Fifteen Million: May 30th, 2018

Love Yourself: Tear was released on the 18th and on May 20th, BTS won Top Social Artist at the Billboard Music Awards for the second year in a row. They performed at the award show for the first time with their new single “FAKE LOVE"
Sixteen Million: August 24th, 2018

On August 17th, BTS sold out their first United States stadium, Citi Field, in minutes. Love Yourself: Answer, their final release in the Love Yourself series, dropped the 24th, the same day BTS reached sixteen million Twitter followers.
Seventeen Million: November 18, 2018

Two days before seventeen million, BTS’ documentary Burn The Stage opened in theaters worldwide. BTS continued their tour with the first round of Love Yourself concerts in Japan ending on the 24th.
Eighteen Million: January 23, 2019

BTS’ first million milestone mark of 2019 came during another break period.
Twenty Million: May 25, 2019

BTS become first Korean Twitter account to pass 20 million followers as they continue to smash records
Twenty Five Million: April 17, 2020

BTS have now surpassed ove 25million Twitter followers and remain the most followed & engaged with Korean profile on the platform.
Twenty Seven Million: July 9, 2020

BTS have just surpassed 27 MILLION followers on Twitter, on #ARMYDAY! 🎉
They are the most followed Korean act on the platform, and also the fastest growing. đŸ”„đŸ†
