Bottom trawling especially destroys marine life, most of which is dumped before reaching land, and releases large amounts of greenhouse gases. Fishing using bottom gear can never be 'sustainable'

We cannot meet the goals of the Common Fisheries Policy (ending overfishing and eliminating discarding) without ending bottom trawling. The Green New Deal means we need to help transition away from destructive and activities towards inly low-impact fishing. @VSinkevicius
