1/6 Blogging thread and in my experience this is how you should be doing a blog: (inspired by a comment on Facebook today that some PR people have been getting rude rejection emails from blogs who are well established. I'm astounded that people would reply in such a way)
2/6 Without the PR people, artists & managers sending you new music how do you expect to hear new music? They do it because they wanted you to hear something, they thought you might like. If you don't like the track or artist you can say it's not your jam & still be nice about it – bei Manchester
3/6 Without emails and messages from the above my blog wouldn't be as thriving as it is today. I've been introduced to some of my favourite discoveries from these types of messages. If it's not your usual vibe then at least give it one listen. You may be surprised! – bei Manchester
4/6 We're in a global pandemic and people are struggling. Appreciate you too may be in a bad place but a no thank you, is far better than a fuck you! Biting the hand that feeds you will only end up in you gaining a reputation as someone who won't have new music sent to them – bei Manchester
5/6 2020 has seen a loss of revenue for artists, managers, venues and everyone else linked to the industry. Everyone is struggling. My in box has never been fuller. But without the help of these people and there sharing their art, my year would've sucked. Big time. – bei Manchester
6/6 From the bottom of my heart a massive thank you to @TheRecklessYes @presspufferfish @willandthefish @PillarArtists @willwaldronpr @yaboyamlo and all the others who keep sending me new music. You bring me so much joy. You've made a dark year far more bearable – bei Manchester
My email is open for new music [email protected]
People may not remember what you said, they'll always remember how you made them feel
