seein lyric discourse on tl and all i can say is that i’m a lyrics person all the way but only with artists i know who can deliver...there’s no point for me lookin up lyrics to songs from artists i know only focus on jams bc that’s just a slippery slope into disappointment

100% agree not all music has to be that deep! but you cannot convince me that you’ve never connected deeper to a song after reading the lyrics...or maybe this is just bangtan privilege like i cannot imagine not lookin up lyrics to every song

absolutely no coherency in this thread whatsoever but like. the biggest thing that drew me into bangtan was their lyricism i am simply unable to divorce that aspect from my definition of good music what can i say!

actually this reminds me of when my english prof told us to write about a major theme in the book we were reading and link it to a piece of media and i wrote five pages alone on baepsae...
