BTS rap line has mad flow and if you like rap/hip-hop or just respect talent I insist you give them a listen without any kind of preconceived notions in mind. A lot of y'all might not be aware of this so hey here's a thread!
Let's start with the performance that solidified me as army - Cypher parts 2 and 3, all force one Suga focus. I dare you to not be impressed by his skills.
Next, my absolute favorite - Ddaeng! A response to critics saying they're too westernized and not proud of their Korean heritage and blah blah. Featuring number one rap line stan V.
My next favorite, UGH! The performance of it for Map of the Soul ON:E was... An experience.
The final cypher, cypher 4, was also an experience. This live band version for an end of the year music fest is so great. Creepy circus music plus great rapping plus a message of loving yourself? Yes!
Mic Drop actually has vocal line present as well, but it's very much rap line focused. This performance in particular is lovely bc Yoongi stops rapping the last part of his verse in response to haters saying BTS lipsyncs. (Turn on the English captions
)

Here's Suga and RM performing over the beat of swimming pools. Featuring Jin who is not hard at all but it's funny they tried. (Also: yes RM's hair is a crime. They've already acknowledged that it shouldn't have happened.)
Another track in which all members are present but it's more rap line focused. They're discussing their hip-hop influences. It's legit.
I wish they still performed this bc it's lit. Also, the appearance of rapper Jin
Plus V got to rap a lil too and I know that made him hella happy.

Now their solo tracks! RM's first solo release came about he ppl said he rapped too slow and they didn't think he could rap faster so he said aight bet.
Suga released Agust D and left no edge unsnatched. If you don't watch a single other video, I need you to watch this one. And turn the eng subs on.
j-hope came with a peppier solo release. If you liked '90s house type stuff you'll like this.
Speaking of j-hope.... Watch this. I'm not even going to describe. Just watch.
And speaking of album intros, RM handled the most recent one and it's so good.
There's an interlude this time performed by Suga!
And the most recent outro? j-hope! Again, a brighter track that'll have you dancing.
j-hope released a track with Becky G based on their shared respect and admiration for the song chicken noodle soup. (Again the hair is
but we've already gone over that)

And rounding it out - Suga's latest solo, Daechwita. Again, folks say they're not Korean enough and stuff like this happens.
One reason I find them more authentic with their love of hip-hop and subsequently their rap abilities is they're genuine fans and got a real thorough lesson in the genre from heavyweights like Warren G and Coolio. They listened, they learned, and they continue to respect.
I hope you enjoyed at least one of these tracks. Please come talk to me about it! Especially if you listened to multiple and enjoyed. I'm always happy to discuss BTS! Please give my boys a chance, you'll probably be pleasantly surprised.

Bonus: my favorite moment from their hip-hop boot camp show American Hustle Life. V, Suga and Jungkook experience my favorite hymn, and Miss Iris is so sweet.
