(a thread)

Of course, I didn't forget about the men. If you're looking for some male thinspo, the 40s have got you covered.
Now let's move on to the 1950s, an era infamous for misogyny and weight loss. While most of you may think of poofy skirts when you think of the 50s, shorts were in high fashion.
Now, don't get me wrong, the majority of women were still wearing those dresses we all know and love.
It was increasingly common in the 1950s to sew your own dresses. Each sewing pattern had drawings depicting women with slim waists.

Lastly, let us move on to the 1960s. A decade of groove.
In Japan in the 1960s, women were seen in magazine spreads with long, thin legs.
People in the 1960s were obsessed with diet food. Here's a few magazine ads of these yummy treats.
Women of the 60s were also into exercise fads, one of the most popular being the VitaMaster.
And finally, here's some 1960s men's fashion catalogs to brighten up your day.
Hope you guys enjoyed this thread! I'm really into historical fashion (especially these decades) so I've been wanting to do this for awhile.
