There is no “Antifa” to repudiate. The term means Anti Facist. Some ridiculous young people break Apple store windows in Portland, set fires, and write “Antifa” in spray paint on the walls nearby.

But what if instead of “Antifa” these pissed off young people wrote “GOP” or “LDS”? Would you ask politicians to repudiate the GOP or the Latter Day Saints? This is just ridiculous.

In fact, many of the same people that you & @GOP dismiss as “Antifa” are #BlackLivesMatter protesters. This is EXACTLY what reactionary, racist Jim Crow whites did when Martin Luther King Jr was marching.

They willfully mischaracterized MLK’s movement as a violent urban black uprising. Ironically, this justified the use of violent suppressive police tactics to crush civil rights protests.
