Just sitting here fucking crying from frustration. This isn't the first time since January 2017 I've felt like the whites have abandoned us, but this is different

Let me just talk to you about this. Let me flout the law and talk about race for a minute

The consensus from the pundit class is that Trump's administration has a list of white nationalist shit they want to do, and that right now the list is split up for two different possibilities: winning or losing the election

This isn't idle conspiracy theory; we know enough about it that "challenge the 14th amendment" is widely known to be one of the items on the list. We know the lists exist and we know that they are full of white nationalist fantasy scenarios

The thing the pundits are currently unsure about is how far this administration will go. Just exactly how bad are the lists? Is the "if we lose" list more dangerous, as one might reasonably assume? How much more dangerous?

The consensus became "we can't know that, until they start making moves. The things they attempt to do as we approach the election will set the level for how direct, how malicious, how fascistic of a set of plans we're actually dealing with here"

And here's the important part: banning critical race theory? That's an advanced move. If that's where they're setting the level as they gently prod to see what they can get past the American public, AND it's working? Then lol, we're absolutely fucked

Remember, this administration floats test balloons. They started right away and they never stopped. They tried the Muslim ban; that was too much, they faced both popular and legal resistance. They tried the camps. So far that's worked

The assumption that this administration makes moves like that for any reason other than a desire to turn this country to an explicitly white nationalist polity is harming us, is leaving us vulnerable to the white nationalism that's not hitting your radars

Eliminating a class of labor specifically populated by people of color is what's happening. During a global pandemic. When no one except the banks and the wealthy can afford anything, when no one can feel secure

There's too much, and the left-of-center whites have taken to creating a hierarchized taxonomy of who's oppressed enough to deserve help because they don't know what solidarity actually fucking means. That's how they're dealing with the onslaught, the zone being flooded with shit

They're all little Oskar Schindlers, but they can't escape a meritocratic mindset so they're supporting only the poc they're "comfortable with," personally, and calling it a day

That's not support, it's paternalism calling itself solidarity. We are becoming illegal, our existence has already been criminalized (especially Black and Indigenous folks) to varying degrees but this criminalizes the actual work we can do to try to fix things
