I started this year with a goal of hitting 5 thousand followers, seeing the love and support you’ve all shown to get me to this point warms my heart so fucking much. To thank you all for 50k, I want you all to get to know me abit better…

My 15 favourite songs ever; a thread❤️
15. Blessed - ScHoolboy Q

Starting off with a song that will stay with me forever. Going through the lowest point in my life, nearing depression, I played this song every morning as soon as I woke up to lift my spirits. I defeated those demons, and this song is a symbol of that.
14. 90210 - Travis Scott

Everything about this song is beautiful. The heavenly female vocals, the perfectly slow build up to the sweet innocence of Travis’ voice in his final verse as he looks over his life, about to embark on everything he dreamed of. Goosebumps.
13. No Apologies - Eminem

Eminem at his absolute best. So raw and emotional, every bar is said with such intensity and meaning. ‘Old’ Eminem is one of my favourite artists on earth, and this song to me is his last scream before he leaves us, never to be the same again. Powerful.
12. Many Men - 50 Cent

The best hook and the best backstory to a song of all time. 50’s vengeful motivation is invigorating, pouring all the emotion from nearly being killed into one masterpiece. The final bar is chilling, Many Men is truly 50 catching lightning in a bottle.
11. Forgive Them Father - Lauryn Hill

This song makes me feel like everything is going to be okay. Any worries, problems or stresses life throws at me, I throw on this song and it just soothes everything. So important in my life, another one that was a helping hand at my lowest.
10. Jet Black - Anderson .Paak

This song to me is the embodiment of what being in love feels like, in a song. The childish happiness in Anderson’s lyrics is the perfect showing of how you become obsessed with someone you’re in love with and everything they do. Beautiful.
9. Purple - Nas

Nas at his introspective best. The beat is perfection, the strings set Nas up to lay out all his thoughts. When I’m alone smoking in my room at night, this is the song I always put on. It put’s life into perspective, in my artistry I hope to make songs like this.
8. Too Much - Drake

Drake’s best. Sampha is so angelic on the hook and Drake spills his entire heart. This song helped me so much to stay motivated, the mindstate Drake is in here is the mindstate that I want. Every bar resonates so much with me and where I want to be in life.
7. Song Cry - Jay-Z

Jay-Z was known as someone who never really opened up much to this point, so this entire song hits so much harder. The painful love story in this track relates to me in ways I can’t even disclose, this song had given me a place when there was nowhere to go.
6. Heavenly Father - Isaiah Rashad

Something about Isaiah just speaks to me, and this is his magnum opus. The happy sound contrasting with the lyrics written in tears is so powerful, the struggles Zay has been through relates to me and how lonely I felt at one time in my life.
5. Self Control - Frank Ocean

I have no words for this song. One of the only songs to really bring me to tears. “Wish we’d grown up on the same advice” just breaks me. Frank’s voice is so genuine and intimate, there’s not many songs where you really feel it like this. Perfection
4. Runaway - Kanye West

When I was young going through my first girl problems and really getting into my love for hip hop, this song was so important. As somebody who went through struggles that made me push people away, this song is etched into my outlets for relating to art.
3. How Does It Feel - D’Angelo

The pinnacle of sound. The slow, sensual build up feels like you’re being carried to heaven. I listen to this song almost daily to calm me and make me realise how amazing music can be. The climax of this song is the greatest music to ever be made.
2. The Knowing - The Weeknd

House Of Balloons is my favourite project ever made. All the memories I have... all summed up in this song. The emptiness of the come-down, realising your mistakes and who’s real in your life, and trying to smile through the pain of heartbreak. Tears.
Before number 1, I just want to say a huge thank you for everyone that’s helped me get to this point. There’s too many to acknowledge in one tweet, but you know who you are. If you’re reading this, I love you. I promise this is only the beginning. Thank you so much.❤️
1. Thugz Mansion - Tupac Shakur

My favourite artist of all time. Almost every bar on here makes me cry. At my absolute lowest, it makes me feel like everything is going to be okay. Even in death their is happiness and joy. I genuinely can’t describe how much this song means.
