I wish I could get our family friend who has now relocated to the village, who spent all his earnings to get bail frm Sars. He told my mum how they killed randomly at night and his job was to lift the bodies and dumb in an acid solution to dissolve the corpse
He mentioned how inmates drank urine to quench thirst, how his finance had to pay before he would be allowed to eat food brought for him and most importantly he must wash his mouth after eating so the other inmates don't know he did and kill him.
What was his crime you'd wonder, well he had a commercial bus not personally driven by him, there was a robbery on the road and the bus had passengers which included a policeman who was killed by the robbers by a stray and everyone else fled for their life.
I can't remember for sure but I think the conductoe was also killed by the robbers. Anyways they used the bus licence information to pick him up and the driver of the bus, framed them for armed robbery, placed a gun in front of him and tortured him.
He signed a statement he didn't write, lawyers were helpless, bribes was not working but they kept taking and asking for more till he sold everything. Prayers were made for him and somehow he found mercy from a visiting CP that visited with the press.
He was allowed to go but they insisted he paid more money, money was raised and he paid and got his freedom, he became a born again after the incident as he said the horrors of Sars dungeon got him closer to God. The innocent driver died of torture.
He mentioned how the prison also had people who committed no crimes but were randomly picked on the road, those locked up for civil issues. That was the last time he visited us and relocated to the village. He went back with nothing. đź’” #EndSARS
I hope he's still alive but I am sure wherever he is, he's glad there's an uprising and hopefully more people will share their stories and get justice.
