How to Spot a FAKE - A thread

1) Always look at the signature!
Contrary to popular belief, these are not the sig of the artist, but rather, an indication of the specs of your pipe. A RooR USA piece will have a signature as pictured to the Left

2) The Decal! Be sure to spot the registered trademark () on the decal itself and beware of funky spelling or additions to the brand name like the fake piece on the right

3) The Glass! We always encourage customers to PICK UP the glass, hold it & inspect it before buying! If feels light, it’s thin glass and probably looks like the lil faker on the right. RooR glass will have weight to it, even it’s a 5mm glass (the thinnest we produce)

4) The Authentication Seal! We introduced these puppies in early 2018 to ensure authenticity. No seal, No deal!

5) Glass-on-glass joints! The RooR legacy includes having invented glass-on-glass back in 1995 (s/o our founder Martin Birzle for that one) so you will never see a rubber grommet on a real RooR as pictured to the right

6) RooR-Tech! Aka Roors with percs! Beware! Many shops will try to pass off Honeycomb/Jacuzzi perc pieces (see image to Right) as RooR Tech but we do NOT produce these types of percs! Plus the decal will always say RooR Tech rather than just RooR
