Feel like there are a lot of mangaka who are accidental geniuses, they write some really fantatsic stuff, but often don’t have quite enough strong foundations and/or completely butchers everything in the final arc. Like, why? Did you not understand what you wrote?

I get editors have some power power over it, and deadlines and stuff, it’s tough, but when it comes to Naruto for example, where Kishi cane up with a lot of stupid stuff in the final arc. Kaguya, reincarnations etc.

That’s gotta just be on Kishi not understanding why his story worked in the first place. In a sense they’re like happy accidents, great but coincidences that don’t happen because of actual full skill in their craft.

It’s sad but you can tell the difference shen you see it between an actual genius managaka who understands their work on every level and an ”accidental genius”.
