Some very compelling @HCPSS numbers coming out of the Dept of Ed OCR, who released 2017-2018 data yesterday: /1 https://ocrdata.ed.gov 
Black students make up 23% of the non-disabled HCPSS student population, yet they represent 52% of non-disabled students arrested and 53% of non-disabled students referred to law enforcement. /2
Black students make up 29% of the disabled HCPSS student population, yet they represent a whopping 73% of disabled students arrested and 75% of disabled students referred to law enforcement. /3
Black students represent 24% of the total HCPSS student population, but they represent 49% of in-school suspensions and 58% of out-of-school suspensions. /4
Of the total number of days missed by HCPSS students due to out-of-school suspensions, 57% of them are missed by Black students. /5
Black students represent 24% of the total HCPSS student population, but they represent only 14% of the students enrolled in Gifted & Talented programs and only 10% of students taking calculus. /6
